This article is unique from the others which are included as it quotes heavily from “Mrs. Everard Cotes” (Duncan) in Good Housekeeping. According the the author, Duncan wrote about how little broader audiences really know about East Indian Servants. There is a servant for everything, but nobody really knows who they are as people. The servants are not, per Duncan, very good at their jobs or truthful, but they are well-mannered and will speak of their bosses highly. She speculates that, due to immigration, one day American housewives will have similar servants to manage.
