Angelina Weld Grimke, Biographical Note in "Caroling Dusk" (1927)

ANGELINA WELD GRIMKÉ was born in Boston, Mass., February 27, 1880. She was a student at Carleton Academy, Northfield, Minn., Cushing Academy, Ashburnham, Mass., and Girls' Latin School, Boston. In 1902 she was graduated from the Boston Normal School of Gymnastics. In 1902 she began her career as a teacher in the Armstrong Manual Training School in Washington, D. C.; since 1916 she has taught in the Dunbar High School in the same city. She is the author of a three act play Rachel published in 1920, short stories, and numerous poems.
