Below are author profiles with links to works included in this anthology. This is a work in progress. Our goal is to have profiles of every significant author whose writings are included on this site.

For some of the major figures below who have not yet been profiled, we are linking to their Wikipedia pages. A few important African American writers presently have no dedicated Wikipedia entries. In summer 2022, noting the omission of Otto Bohanan from Wikiepdia, we worked with a team of editors to create a rudimentary entry here. Another important Harlem Renaissance poet who currently has no Wikipedia page is Edward S. Silvera.
