Rogers here, from an 1872 edition of Once a Week, provides an in-depth description of the operating processes of the Gatling gun. This article contains a schematic of the weapon itself as well as information on its operation, composition, and caliber in relation to other weapons. Although technically daunting to read, the mechanism of the weapon is fairly straightforward and easier to understand when used in conjunction with the video included in this section depicting the firing of a Gatling gun.
